Keesler AFB, MS

All officers and enlisted soldiers must report to the Military Personnel Section/Force Management on arrival. The Personnel Center is located at Sablich Center, Room 121 Bldg Number n/a. You can reach them at 228-377-3844 or DSN 312-597-3844.

You can expect to be with the detachment for 5 days. When you get signed in, you will receive a billeting assignment, bedding and a temporary meal card if you are not on separate rations. If your family arrives with you, Inns of Keesler will help make them comfortable during your inprocessing. To make things easier with attaining temporary housing for your family, please make reservations at Inns of Keesler. (228)377-2420.

You should have all of your personal records on hand. Personnel, Finance, Medical and Dental. You must be in uniform to inprocess. The duty uniform at Keesler AFB, MS is utility. Be sure that you have enough uniforms with you to begin duties after inprocessing.

You should bring your "inprocessing/PCS package," which will include your field record, to this meeting. There you will be scheduled for two additional informational briefings: inprocessing/finance and Newcomers. Spouses are invited and encouraged to attend the Newcomers Orientation, as they will learn much about the base, community, environmental conditions, services and programs.? Then report to your unit to inprocess.

If you arrive after duty hours or on a weekend or holiday, Muse Manor is the official check-in point. Remember to call your sponsor and let them know you have arrived.

If you are a single enlisted person (E-4 and below) you should ask your sponsor in advance if you should stay in billeting or if you can get into your dorm room right away.

Technical Training Students

Technical Training Students (Non-prior service) will arrive by bus from Lackland AFB. They normally arrive on Monday. All inprocessing for non-prior service students is accomplished in the Student Personnel Center in the Levitow Building upon arrival at Keesler AFB. The first few days are filled with briefings and appointments that will keep students very busy. Family members will not be able to spend much time together.

Air Force Reserve/Guard

The liaison office of the ANG/AFRC is the focal point for all coordination, questions, situations, health, welfare, and moral issues of the ANG/AFRC 81st Training Wing. This office is located in Bryan Hall.? All ANG/AFR Students will in and out process directly with this office.

Important Documents to Carry for Inprocessing

At least 10 copies of your orders
Birth Certificates
Marriage License
Copy of advanced pay or allowance paperwork.
All moving paperwork including TMO information, Self Move paperwork, and all receipts associated with moving.
Employment records or resume of civilian family members.
Medical/Dental records of your entire family from your previous duty station.
Immunization records for all children and active-duty members.
School records/transcripts for children and adults.
Pet medical and immunization records.
Recommendation: Letters of credit from utility companies
Married Servicemembers

If you get married before you PCS, please inform your commander and follow the procedures as directed to ensure you receive all eligible entitlements.
